Press Conference LEO FESTIWAL

On 12th of May 2009 at 1.00 pm in Wroclaw Philharmonic it has a place Press Conference didicated to first edtion of Leo Festival, which is presented by Orchestra LEOPOLDINUM which celebrating this year its 30th anniversary. The conference was attended by: Andrzej Kosendiak – General Director, Ernst Kovacic - Artistic Director of Orchestra and Leo Festival and Roberto Skolmowski. Director of The Wroclaw Puppet Theater has offered to direct the unique show which opened Leo Festival – Marionattte’s Oprea by Joseph Haydn "Pożar". Skolmowski very interestingly told journalists about the history of marionette opera for her years of great popularity in the eighteenth century and the tragic failure to run this stock in the twentieth century. "Pożar" I hope will be a beginning of big comeback in Poland to show operas written for exclusively puporse of marionette theaters - said Roberto Skolmowski, in the same time he was stressing that this event is directed only to adult audiences.

Mr. Andrzej Kosendiak emphasized the main merit of The Leo Festival, a new initiative, which music program designed by Ernst Kovacic concentrates on the variety of composistion embedded on a convention of synthesis of many arts.
